Loading Bug: iPhone Xs | Xs Max with teething?

  • Recently, users complained about overpaid selfies on the iPhone Xs and Xs Max.
  • Now there are dropouts when plugging in the charging cable and starting the charging process.
  • According to users, the problem only resolves the power-up of the display or a restart.

Users complain in the Apple Support Forum that the new flagship brand of the manufacturer has problems detecting the Lightning cable. As different as the difficulties encountered are the methods to put the smartphone still in the loading process.

Early fatigue on the iPhone Xs | Xs max

Several users of the latest Apple devices have exchanged in various forums about the fact that the devices do not want to charge when plugging in the charging cable. There are some theories that might explain why. Among them, for example, that a function of iOS was responsible, which should actually serve as protection against hacking attacks. The point is that smartphones that were inactive for a while did not react when the cable was plugged in. However, some users reported that they had recently used the device.

Activate screen – and the juice flows again?

For some Apple friends, replugging and unplugging the Lightning cable was enough to activate the charging process. Others had to touch the display before the loading icon appeared. Thus, a large part of the victims outwitted the stubborn smartphone. With still others, the juice flowed after some minutes by itself again. And in some cases, users had to restart their devices first. It obviously needed more persuasion.

Not just iPhone Xs affected

Help seekers in various places suggest that the problem is not a hardware failure. At least one could conclude that, considering that many other iOS 12 users complain about similar difficulties. And let us think back to cases in which earlier iOS versions also caused loading bugs. Among other things, this was the so-called “USB Restricted Mode” responsible. Corresponding problems should be solved by now.

What does Apple say?

Assuming that the update to iOS 12 is to blame for the problems, we can assume that the operating system still has one or the other teething troubles. That’s not surprising. After all, there are always bugs that need to be corrected within the first months. This not only applies to iOS, but also to Android. Annoying for the users are such problems nevertheless. Let’s hope that the iPhone Xs is not something else in the wrong place. So far, Apple has not yet commented on the topic. Means: wait and diligently touch Display – or restart the device.
